FIRST PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH

RENOVATIONS AND ADDITION

PANAMA CITY, FLORIDA


Bids for First Presbyterian Church Renovations and Addition will be received electronically by email to the

Owner’s office until 2:00 PM CT, on July 22, 2024. You may submit bids electronically through email to

Jenny Groom at jenny.groom@firstprespc.org. If you have questions or need assistance with alternative

The estimated cost of the construction project equals or exceeds $250,000.00. The voluntary pre-bid

conference and site visit is scheduled for 2:00 PM CT, on Friday, June 14th, 2024 at 100 7th Street East

Panama City, Florida, 32401.


The project consists of the rebuild - renovation of the existing two-story, brick church building that was

damaged during Hurricane Michael. Renovation will occur throughout the entire facility along with a 1,955

+/- sq ft addition inclusive of a two-story elevator addition. The project includes all site work, buried and

above ground utilities, parking areas, walkways, covered entry, and interior and exterior repairs -

modifications. All construction described in the project drawings and specifications is included in this bid

and eventual contract with the Owner.


The work will be awarded in one contract.


The successful bidder will be required to submit a list of his/her subcontractors with the bid package for

approval before award of contract.


All bid documents including Plans, Specifications and Addenda may be obtained by emailing Jenny Groom

at jenny.groom@firstprespc.org. Partial sets of Bidding Documents will not be available directly from the

Issuing Office. Neither Owner nor Architect will be responsible for full or partial sets of Bidding Documents

including Addenda, if any, obtained from sources other than the Issuing Office.


Each Bid must be accompanied by a Bid Bond, prepared on the form of Bid Bond attached to the Contract

Documents or a Surety Company’s Standard Bid Bond, duly executed by the Bidder as principal and having

as surety thereon a surety company licensed to do business in the State of Florida and listed as a certified

company in the latest issue of U.S. Treasury Circular 570, in the amount of five percent of the Bid.

No bid may be withdrawn within 90 calendar days after the scheduled time for receipt of bids.


All bidders must be licensed and shall comply with all licensing requirements of the State of Florida and

have not been suspended or disbarred within the last five (5) years. All bidders must comply with all

applicable State and Local laws concerning licensing, registration, and regulation of contractors doing

business in the State of Florida. Further, contractors shall obtain all such occupational licenses and permits

as shall be prescribed by law.


The person or affiliate who has been placed on the convicted vendor list following a conviction for a public

entity crime may not submit a bid for a contract to provide any goods or services to a public entity, may

not submit a bid for a contract to a public entity for the construction or repair of a public building or public

work, may not submit bids for leases of real property to a public entity, may not be awarded a contract or

perform work as a contractor, supplier, subcontractor, or consultant under a contract with any public

entity, and may no transact business with any public entity in excess of the threshold amount provided in

Section 287.017, for Category Two for a period of 36 months from the date of being placed on the

convicted vendor list.


Contractor must ensure employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because

of their race, color, religion, sex or national origin.


The Owner will in no way be liable for any cost incurred by any bidder in the preparation of its Bid in

response to this invitation to Bid.


The successful Bidder for this Contract will be required to furnish a satisfactory Performance Bond and

Payment Bond each in the amount of 100 percent (100%) of the Bid.


The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all Bids, to waive informalities, and to readvertise.

Advertisement starts June 7th, 2024 and runs for 45 days.
