SUNDAYS:

Frequently Asked Questions

What time is your worship service?

Sunday worship services begin at 10:30am. Due to the effects of Hurricane Michael, we are currently meeting at the Seventh Day Adventist building at 2700 Lisenby Ave.

What is the worship style?

Our worship style is traditional.  You can expect to sing Psalms and hymns accompanied by the piano, organ, and/or guitar.  The preaching and teaching uses Scripture as its foundation and is aimed at understanding and applying the good news of Jesus to our lives.

What should I wear?

We encourage you to wear clothing that you are comfortable wearing. We are concerned with people’s hearts, not their fashion sense.

What about Bible Study?

Our Sunday School (Bible exploration in a less formal smaller group setting) begins at 9:15am. Anyone you meet will be happy to direct you to a class of your choice.

What about my kids?

We have Sunday School classes for young children all the way up through High School. Children are welcome in the worship service, but we also provide other opportunities for care and learning.

During the worship service, infants through 5 years will be cared for by our loving nursery team. Children ages 5 and up can join their parents for the worship service.

What kind of church are you?

We are a church that believes in the whole of the Bible and its truth about Jesus Christ being the only mediator between God and man. We value community and desire to create an environment where believers can fellowship with one another and non-believers can find answers to questions they have about life and faith.

More information about our beliefs can be found on the "About Us" page . First Presbyterian is a congregation of the Presbyterian Church in America (PCA). For more information on the PCA, visit pcanet.org.
